The AcrySof® Toric IOL

After cataract extraction, patients have traditionally received a monofocal IOL (intraocular lens) implant. These lenses are a great improvement over a cloudy cataract lens, or no lens at all, but do not address other vision concerns such as astigmatism. The AcrySof Toric IOL is designed to correct cataracts and astigmatism simultaneously, reducing the need for glasses after cataract surgery.
