ReZoom™ Multifocal IOL

After cataract extraction, patients have traditionally received a monofocal IOL (intraocular lens) implant. These lenses are a great improvement over a cloudy cataract lens, but usually correct only distance vision. It is common to lose near vision with the normal aging process (a condition called presbyopia), and thus most cataract patients also require reading or bifocal glasses after surgery. Newer advances in cataract lens replacement can correct vision at a range of distances from near to far.
