Array® Multifocal Implant
The Array Multifocal Implant was the first lens to receive FDA approval for multifocal vision correction after cataract extraction. However, it has generally been superseded by the ReZoom™ Multifocal IOL except in cases requiring very low power.
The concentric refractive design of the Array Multifocal Implant provides correction for near, intermediate, and distance vision in a single lens. Reducing the need for reading glasses or bifocals provides patients even greater freedom after cataract surgery. However, some patients who receive the Array Multifocal Implant experience more night glare than patients with a monofocal IOL.
